LARES TREK - MACHUPICCHU 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS
DAY 1:
06.00 am youīll meet your group and guide, always carry a copy of passport and your isic student card. we journey to calca through pisac where we have breakfast so we can pick you up in pisac at 08.30am if you would prefer. we continue on to lares which is a total of about 3 hrs where we stop to enjoy the hotsprings here before lunch. today we will visit a pre inca archeological site and can view a number of stone path inca trails. enjoy the local andean villages and way of life along this beautiful trail. this area of trail is famous for the intricate weavings created by the people in the lares region. our first camp is in lares (3100 mtrs).

DAY 2:
waking up at 6:00 am we will start walking at approx 07:00 to the community of ccochayoc were we will have lunch and then continue to the pass pillpiccasa where beautifull views of the cordillera vilcanota await us. the highest pass is (4350 mtrs)! about 4 hrs walk to cross the pass where we will camp on the other side.challwaccocha (lagoon of fish)
throughout this day you will have vistas of typical andean mountains, lakes and flocks of llamas. this area is still relatively untouched by tourism so if you want to avoid the 500 tourists a day on the traditional inca trail this is the place to be!!
if you catch the trout here itīs on the menu for dinner!

DAY 3:
after breakfast itīs a leisurely walk down to patacancha at(2800 mtrs) passing local farmers tending llamas, alpacas and their famous terraces of crops. we enjoy lunch here and then we pass through willoc on our way to ollantaytambo. willoc is famous for her people clothed in the famous red ponchos. these people are considered some of the closest descendents of the inca people still conserving their traditions and their market days are the real thing!!
from willoc we take the bus down to ollantaytambo. there is plenty of free time to visit the ruins before dinner if you wish. we take the evening train to aguas calientes where we settle into hostal for the night with private bathrooms and hotshowers!

DAY 4:
early breakfast before taking the 06.15am bus directly to machupicchu.
optional: leave 04.20am and walk up to machupicchu arriving approx 05.40am.
itīs still 15 mins walk up from here to the famous view from the terraces at the end of the trail. early tour of machupicchu before the crowds so take your photos now before the 10:30 crowds arrive. your tour of machupicchu should finish around 10:00am and you have free time to climb huayna picchu (min 90 mins), it will take you between 45 mins to an hour to walk down to aguas calientes.
you can go to the hot springs or shop around the village until the afternoon train return to cusco. arrival back in the plaza de armas in cusco approx 9pm. or extra over night in aguas calientes , with early morning 5am train return to ollantaytambo is the same package price , extra you must to pay the hotel and transportation from ollanta to cusco.
